Stawell got off to a slow start while Hornets were flying early.
Hornets had 11 points on the board before Wildcats broke through for its first basket.
Tim Pickert scored freely in the first half and finished with a game high 23 points.
Pickert was one of many senior players that played limited court time in the second half when the game was done and dusted.
Sam Cronin was the leading scorer for Wildcats for the second week in a row scoring 14 points.
Paul Summers finished with 10 points.
Similar to the ladies the Wildcats struggled with the full court pressure.
The final score was 89-41.
Ararat’s Josh Day was a welcomed inclusion to the Stawell line up in his first game.
Wildcats will take on Warrnambool this weekend.
