Zone 15 chair Judith Bysouth said the club could need between $1000 and $5000 to cover the insurance excess when replacing their sheds flood-affected floor.
“The heavy rain last week and the week before flooded out the shed,” she said.
“All over the floor – the covering will have to be replaced. It’s a major job.
“At this stage the amount isn’t exactly known as the quotes haven’t come in.
“The shed will be vacated Monday to enable the flood to dry out, and the carpet and floor layers to come in.”
Mrs Bysouth said the club was catering the Horsham Show horse events on Wednesday so decided to try raise money for the repairs.
“We’re trying to drum up a bit of extra business to make it worthwhile and try to cover the insurance excess,” she said.
“Any contributions would be gratefully received.”
Mrs Bysouth said the stall would run from 6.30am to 2.30pm
