Ms Chvastek will be joined by Pomonal entomologist, photographer and author Denis Crawford host a fortnightly radio talkback session on gardens and insects.
In its 34th consecutive year the show will be hosted at the newly opened Pomonal Hall.
The Australian Plants Society Grampians Group has filled the hall the scents, colours and textures of Australia native flora.
There are 400 or so named specimens, all picked from members’ gardens and are representative of plants from across the country.
Show organiser Linda Handscombe said it was exciting to have Ms Chvastek attending the event.
“She does an afternoon show every fortnight with one of our members Dennis Crawford,” she said.
“It is a gardening, insect and pest show/
“People listen and they phone in to get garden advice, which she will also be able to provide some of at the show.”
The show is scheduled for the weekend of October 1 and 2.
It will run from 9.30am to 5pm on the Saturday and 10am 4pm on the Sunday.
This year the Goodeniaceae plant family will be a feature while Leschenaultias, Scaevolas and Dampieras will also take centre stage.
There will also be a display of Grampians species and a special series of plant name explanation signs.

There will also be botanical art and refreshments for sale, a Wildlife Art Museum of Australia display and a village market.
Three native gardens will be open for the duration of the show and entry to the gardens will be free with the $5 entry fee to the show while entry for children is free..
