Penshurst defeated Hawkesdale-Macarthur by 13 points to claim the 2016 Mininera and District Football League reserves premiership at Glenthompson recreational reserve on Sunday.

Penshurst started the game off well when they kicked three goals straight in the first quarter to take a six point lead into the first break.
They remained in control for the rest of the game.
The Bombers took a three-goal lead into three quarter time and managed to hold off Hawkesdale-Macarthur in the final quarter.
Penshurst’s Nick Sherlock bagged three of his own along with Michael Crane and Colby Bryce who finished with two each.
Hayden Cottrill, Tom Mirtschin and Cameron Templeton all added one goal each to the scoreboard as well to lead the Bombers to the 2016 reserves flag.
Chay Deary was named best on ground for Penshurst.
Hawkesdale-Macarthur’s Jamie Hetherington was named best on ground for his team.
Mark Johnson kicked five goals for Hawkesdale-Macarthur to give his side a chance to get over the line.
Luke Gow, Jeremey Sheehan and Marty Rantall all added a goal each but it was not enough to bridge the gap to Penshurst.
Penshurst finished the home and away game one game clear on top of the ladder.
The Bombers lost their semi-final forcing them into a preliminary final against Tatyoon.
Hawkesdale-Macarthur were involved in the 2015 reserves grand final but lost that game by 39 points to Tatyoon.
