Navarre have been a heavy weight of the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League since its first year in the league, but in 2016 it wasn’t all smooth sailing.
Navarre will have to play some of its best football if they are to overcome Carrisbrook and create some club history.
Never before has a Navarre team won four consecutive flags in the senior competition and been so dominant.
Navarre will go into the match with an unchanged line up and are hoping some of its experienced players can stand up under pressure.
Having played in the past three premierships Navarre will have the more finals experience despite the young list.
Joint coaches Ash Driscoll and Jayden Fowkes along with coaching director Wayne Driscoll will look to settle early and stick to their own game.

Its forward line is always dangerous whether it be the young gun Cody Driscoll, brother Ash Driscoll or the experienced power forward Ben Martin.
Navarre has had trouble with its forward line throughout the season, but they hit their straps when they needed too against Royal Park.
Both Carisbrook and Navarre had comfortable wins in the preliminary finals to make it to the big stage.
The grand final is a big occasion and no doubt players like Ben Scott, Daniel Parkin and Brent Flood will be raring to go.
The first bounce is expected from 2.35pm at Princes Park, Maryborough on Sunday.
