The Stawell Times-News has been advised that the Grampians multisport challenge has been cancelled.
SES chief Trevor White said the event has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

With a course consisting of 10 kilometres of trail running, 11 kilometres of paddling and 32 kilometres of mountain biking, it is designed to be achievable for all levels of athletes, including those just making a move to off-road racing.
Race co-ordinator Maria Plyashechko said the location for the event was amazing.
“We are delighted to organise a race in such a stunning location,” she said.
Race director Serge Kurov said he was excited by the course.
“It is a fast course, but showcases many of the highlights of the area,” he said.
“Everyone will love racing it.”
The race starts with a challenging 10-kilometre trail running leg along the Mackenzie River gorge trail that has some technical sections.
The first four kilometres of the leg follow the trail beside the river before winding through several cascading waterfalls, including Mackenzie Falls, followed by a staircase climb up and out of the valley.
The second stage of the race will have racers kayaking 11 kilometres through the pristine waters of Lake Wartook surrounded by the rocky outcrops of the northern Grampians range.
Participants will paddle around Bear Island and then north to the end of the lake around a buoy, enjoying magnificent views of the rocky ridges.
The final 32-kilometre mountain bike leg of the race consists of a large loop around the lake perimeter along a rough 4WD trail.
It features the Lake Wartook dam wall, a steady climb to the famous Boroka Lookout and a spectacular ride along the ridge line with a fast descent to the finish line.
Late entries are open until Friday, September 16.
Entries are accepted for solo, pair and relays teams wanting to take part in the challenge. For more go to grampianschallenge.com.au
