Production’s Venetia Elbourne-Hobbs said the students had a rehearsal at Wesley Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday for the show, which was called The Puny Pirates of Ponky Island.
“The best thing has been seeing the children come out of their shell – they have really blossomed since they have been involved.”
Mrs Elbourne-Hobbs said lots of students were involved in the show in all areas, not just on stage.
“We have children making props, being the stage crew, doing hair and make-up and ushering,” she said.
“We’ve also had people from outside the school community help out and some former students as well.”
The show will run until Saturday.
