Mrs Fox was at her best for her big occasion and even paid the resident hair dresser a visit that morning.
She was her quiet, but cheerful self as she tucked into some trifle and enjoyed the company of friends and family.
Mrs Fox’s son Ivan aged 66, arrived in Stawell the morning of the celebration and planned to spend a couple of days with his milestone mother.
It was a proud moment for Ivan who only ventures from Barooga eight or so times a year.
“It is really nice to be here for her birthday,” Mr Fox said.
“She doesnt get out of her room much so it is nice that everyone comes together. Mum tends to keep to herself and not fuss too much, but its great that she is spoiled on her special day.”
Mrs Fox lived in a farm house in Callawadda before moving into her own home in 1978.
In 2011 Mrs Fox and her husband Vic moved into the Eventide homes and it is where she has been ever since.
“She says she forgot how to cook and that is why she moved into the Eventide,” Mr Fox said.
“When she started getting everything done for her she decided she never wanted to leave.”
Mrs Fox is mentally very switched on and staff at the eventide think it may have something to do with her playing scrabble every night with her husband.
Mrs Fox husband Vic passed away in 2012 aged 97.
She enjoys watching the world go by out of her bedroom window.
Mrs Fox celebrated her birthday with a handful of residents and staff in the Grampians House Lounge.
A high tea was prepared by Eventide staff for the occasion.
Mrs Fox has been at the Eventide home since May 9 2011.
Mrs Fox didn't have much to say about the ordeal, but her smile lit up the room.
