The exhibition featured more than 1000 artworks from students in prep to grade 6 at the school.
Art teacher Michelle Watson said each student had contributed at least two works to the exhibition.
“It’s really a community day to showcase what the children have achieved throughout the year,” she said.
Mrs Watson said the misconception that school art was all about painting had been firmly put to rest by the exhibition.
“We have a huge variety of different mediums on display. That’s one of the big surprises for people when they’re walking through,” she said.
“People have been really impressed with our sculptures and the jewellery has also been really well received.”
Mrs Watson said the show was an opportunity for students to demonstrate their artistic abilities.
“The quality of the works has been hugely impressive,” she said.
“It’s lovely to hear the students as they show their parents the works they’ve done, but it’s equally rewarding to hear the parents and how impressed they are with the exhibition.
“There’s been a real focus on raising the bar and a lot of peer critiquing has been going on in the lead up to the show.”
This is the third time the biannual exhibition has been hosted by the school.
Mrs Watson said it took a huge effort from staff and a dedicated group of parents to set up the displays.
“Nothing is on show here that was here last time. That’s what we aim for,” she said.
