Ohayon has been a two time most valuable player at the association, but will this season take a back seat to help further develop the young players.
“It should be a really exciting season,” Ohayon said.
“We have some new recruits coming in and hopefully they are as committed as everyone else that is returning.”
Ohayon is keen to be coaching, but with little coaching experience is desperate to find a coach.
Training for Ohayon and his men will start this weekend with a casual shoot around at the Stawell Leisure Centre.
“A pre season is very important to the young group, but training can some times be pretty tough with players and the court often unavailable,” Ohayon said.
“We have left it pretty late to get organised this year but hopefully we can get stuck into our offence and defence and have some success this season.”
Grace Bibby has signed on for another year with the women. She will be assisted by experienced coach Dave Flint.
The Country Basketball League welcomes Millicent and Corio Bay to the competition. The women will be fighting for their first win after three seasons.
