Stawell Warriors fought back to defeat Warrack Eagles and progress to the Wimmera Netball Association senior preliminary final.

The Warriors trailed at every break before taking the upper hand 44-43 at the end of the final quarter.
Warrack had a six-goal lead at the end of the first quarter, a one-goal lead at half-time and led by five at the final change, but could not hold onto win.
Each of the Stawell players played their role to perfection and in the final quarter, when it mattered, Stawell pulled it all together.
Stawell closed the gap by two in the early stages of the last quarter by breaking the Warrack Eagles centre pass and consolidating on their own.
The defensive duo of Lisa Fleming and Kellie Sommerville were working overtime and reaping the rewards.
Up the other end of the court Ebony Summers and Jemma Clarkson were working just as hard as were the mid court players.
Stawell continued to force turnovers.
Until mid-way through the final quarter Warrack were unable to add to its score.
Momentum was in favour of the Warriors and when they hit the front with three minutes to play the crowd erupted.
It was goal for goal in the final minutes, but it was Stawell who had the advantage and led when the whistle sounded.
Best players were Maddi Jelly and Jemma Clarkson.
The Warriors A Grade comeback was more than just four quarters of netball.
After a slow start to the season and many injuries, Stawell had to work hard to get themselves into the finals series.
They have since excelled and are just one game away from a grand final appearance against Horsham Demons.
Warriors defeated Dimboola in their first final in over time and it was another close call on Sunday.
Stawell will now play Miniyip-Murtoa in the preliminary final at Ararat on Saturday for a spot in the grand final.
Stawell will give themselves every chance to win despite losing both encounters throughout the year.
Last time they met Minyip Murtoa defeated Stawell by nine goals.
The loss signals the end of Warrack’s A Grade premiership defence.
