The Panthers spurred to the lead and remained consistent in the first half, 5.3(68)-5.6(55).
The Tigers kept up with the side but made little movement to take the lead in the third quarter.
The final quarter saw the Tigers smash out some goals and apply defensive pressure to seal a 9.14(68)-8.7(55) victory.
Tigers coach Matt Everett said the final quarter was his sides best effort.
“We probably didn’t play that well compared to the week before,” he said.
“We defended well in the third quarter and had planty of opportunities but didn’t play our best footy.
“Hopefully next week we can get closer to playing four quarters rather than one.”
Marc Smith was a standout for the Tigers in the back, Daniel Baker continued his consistent form of play and Matthew Ward played good contested footy, taking on many tackles for the side.
Pat Knott was dangerous in the forward line while Kyle Dumesny suffered a hamstring injury during the third quarter.
“Everyone played well in the final quarter to get us over the line,” Everett said.
The most pleasing thing about the game was the way we finished
