Horse riding gear, including three saddles and two saddle blankets worth $3050 was stolen.
Ararat police First Constable Melanie Hunter said the offender cut a lock on a shed at the property to force entry.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses to call Ararat Police Station on 5355 1500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000 with any information.
