The Roos regained fourth spot following the 61-38 win.
A loss in round 13 to Horsham Saints had seen the Roos drop to fifth spot.
Dimboola started the game stronger to hold a 17-goal lead at half time.
After half time Roos coach Antoinette Toet took the opportunity to try out some different combinations.
"We’re working on making things work in different situations,” she said.
The Rats stepped up in the second half but a consistent four-quarter effort by the Roos continued to hold the team at bay.
“We set some goals before the game and we did well to meet them,” Toet said.
She said Billie Barber’s good year rolled on as she displayed her growing commitment to the ball.
Abbey Greig also continued to play well in defence following her recent return.
