The Saints could do little to stop the Southern Roos in the opening half, falling 15 goals behind.
The Saints stepped it up for the second half, winning the third quarter by one goal, but the team’s efforts were not enough to push them to the lead.
The final quarter saw the Southern Roos surge towards the 39-26 victory despite the Saints’ gallant efforts.
Amy Lewis scored 22 goals for the Roos, alongside Anna-Grace Close, who shot 17.
Lavinia Fox and Sarah Jude both finished with 11 goals for the Saints while Sacha McDonald put up four. The Roos now sit on 48 points.
