The public forum will help discuss multiple topics, such as the direction the project hopes to take in the Wimmera.
The forum will also enlighten newcomers on what the project has been doing behind the scenes and what it has planned for the coming months.
Wimmera Pride Project co-founder Maddi Ostapiw said the group have been doing a large amount of behind the scenes work.
“We have been out of the public eye for almost seven months but have been working hard on some big things,” she said.
“In the forum we would like to get some ideas as to what the public would like from us in the community.
“Whether that be advocacy, education or public events.”
Ms Ostapiw said she wanted to make the most of the project and help the community in any way possible.
“We have been working towards some specific goals since October and have some quite exciting things we are working on,” she said.
“We have been given an amazing amount of help from Uniting Care and other organisations and hope we can create a committee very soon for this group.
“It was fantastic when a large amount of organisations reached out and helped us - now we will have a greater chance to do bigger things.”
The public forum will be an informal meet and greet and drinks and coffee will be available.
Ms Ostapiw said that Up Tempo had been a great help to the project.
The Wimmera Pride Project has established a close friendship with the Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly and has been given the green light to conduct an information session at the Horsham Volleyball Association.
“We are lucky to have this amount of support,” Ms Ostapiw said.
“People of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations are welcome to have an input.
“Hopefully we will gain some committee members.”
