On Monday Stawell SES were once again called by Halls Gap Police to assist with searching for a couple who lost their way on the pinnacle track,
The couple had planned to watch the sun go down, but as it got dark they lost their way.
They were located by SES members around 9pm Monday night on the pinnacle and returned to the station at around 10pm.
The couple were not well prepared for a walk with only a mobile phone to help light their way.
There were 10 members who took part in the search.
The search was made easier by technology which allowed the SES and police to track their exact coordinates from screen shots.
This rescue marks the sixth rescue in the past two weeks in the Grampians National Park.
SES members are frustrated that their warnings are not being heard.
They would like everyone to please be prepared when out walking in the Grampians.
Preparation includes appropriate clothing, good solid footwear, water and food and first aid kit.
Remember that there is some areas of the Grampians that have very poor phone services or none at all.
The SES local members do a great job, but it is difficult for members to constantly respond to rescues that could have been prevented with a bit of preparation and planning.
