Last year's premiers, Tatyoon got off to a promising start with Ashley Maconachie and Darren Beer making a combined 23 runs before Maconachie fell victim to Marc Brilliant.
Jarrod Blandford took to the crease, combining with Beer to add another 34 runs before McCord struck.
McCord managed to dismiss Beer for 20 runs and removed Andrew Ward (three) and Tim McDougall (two) in quick succession.
Blandford put up some resistance, making 30 runs before becoming McCord's fourth victim for the day.
McCord finished with impressive figures of 5/36, while Jamie Bach also chipped in with 2/8 to remove Tatyoon for a paltry 92 runs.
In reply, Combine's Sam Cocks came out firing with 19 runs while Travis Nicholson added 37.
Two quick wickets to Blandford gave Tatyoon some hope of a batting collapse, although Swifts/Great Western held their nerve with Rick Peters (18) and Gary Ranton (10) guiding the Combine to a four wicket victory.
Blandford was best of the Tatyoon bowlers, finishing with 3/15 for the afternoon.
In a low scoring affair, St Andrews managed to notch up a first round win over Aradale.
St Andrews were in trouble early with Toby Reid removed for no runs and Lauchlan Dalgleish made seven before being skittled by Brent Tate.
Jacob Bates and Matthew North made a brave stand of 33 runs before North was removed for 14.
Bates continued to battle and finally fell for 29 as St Andrews limped to be all out for 86 runs.
Leading the Aradale bowling attack was Brent Tate with 3/23, while Matthew Baldock and Jon Townsend snared two wickets each.
Aradale's run chase got off a disastrous start, with their opening four batsmen removed for just 20 runs.
Brett Crone made 17 before falling foul of James Laidlaw while Clint Rodger helped out with 13, however it was a bowler's paradise with Aradale dismissed for 70.
Matthew North continued his good form, taking 3/10 while John Hosking helped out towards the end with 2/5.
Youth Club opened their season campaign with a strong win against Buangor.
Steve Le Gassick was in fine form, removing dangerous Buangor batsman Jack Fraser (seven) and his opening partner Tyson Carr.
Ben Hargreaves led the way with 33 runs, however a mid-order batting collapse saw the Clubbers move into prime position for victory.
Chris Jerram and Jim Fraser fell cheaply to Robert Scott, while Jamie Solyom claimed two closing wickets to see Buangor all out for 100.
Youth Club had no problems in reply, with runs to Zac Marrow (30 not out), Solyom (24) and Le Gassick (22) seeing them win out.
