The workshop was part of the library’s school holiday activities.
Library manager Michelle Grant said the session, which was for children in grades three to six, was ran in small groups, to enable all the children to have a go at the badge making machine.
She said she loved having school holiday activities at the library.
“From a library point of view, it serves us well because it’s a chance for people to see what services we offer,” she said.
“We try to have different activities each school holidays, except summer, and it gives children something to do.
“We’ve done badge making a few times now but it is so popular.”
The library will host dream catcher making on Thursday.
Mrs Grant said the library was renovated about a year ago, which meant there was more room for activities.
The library received about $150,000 from the state government for the project.
“We were very lucky to get a grant and the new space is fantastic,” Mrs Grant said.
“It’s made a huge difference.”
