The Western Oval in Ballarat was the scene of Ararat Storm’s fifth round clash against Bacchus Marsh.
Ararat got off to a blistering start with a seven-goal first quarter and the outcome of the match was never in doubt after that.
Ange Stoneman, in the ruck, gave the on-ballers plenty of chances with Alyssa Humphries and Ella Wood dominating centre clearances and pinpointing the forwards who capitalised on their chances.
Team leaders Ayesha Nicholson, Carrie Slorach and Chelsea Wilson were never far from the play, while centre half back, Georgia Clarke, racked up 27 possessions in repelling most of the opposition attacks.
Genevieve Blake pulled in 12 marks and bagged five goals in a powerful best-on-ground display.

Meanwhile, in the second home game for the year Storm impressed the supporters who braved the cold weather at Alexandra Oval with a very convincing win against Sebastopol in round six.
A genuine team effort saw 12 girls kicking goals but the heavy ball and large arena prevented the locals from besting their top score for the season.
New recruit Cecilia Lowrey made her presence felt across the forward line with five goals and club stalwart Lilly Dowling kicked one of her two goals from the boundary.
First year players Carly Sporton and Trinity Brown showed signs of true class as they made the most of their opportunities, figuring amongst the team’s best for the day.
As is often the case with some of the teams in the competition, Sebastopol were short on numbers on the day so four of the Storm girls pulled on the opposition guernsey to help out.
Sharna Wilson, Miranda Holden, Trinity Brown and Gemma Millington each spent half the game chasing their Storm teammates around.
This willingness to assist their opponents in these situations has given the Ararat girls a very good reputation in the league.
