Pimpinio was significantly undermanned with more injury concerns added to its pile throughout the game.
Tigers coach Matt Everett said the players’ focus was to bring their best efforts to the game.
“Saturday was a step in the right direction, we certainly gained some momentum,” he said.
“We had a lot more positives come out of it then we have over the past month.”
Everett said it was a tough job to pick his side’s best players.
“It just goes to show everyone contributed,” he said.
“We had a really good even spread and it’s the first time we’ve had that so hopefully we can continue to build on that.”
Daniel Baker played one of his best games for the season, returning to his previous consistent form.
Liam Jakobi held back Storm’s key player Peter Weir but he still managed five goals.
Matt Ward returned to the side and gave the Saints the physicality they required, maintaining strong tackling pressure.
The Tigers lost Brodie Mines to hamstring concerns and Cameron Ellis from a heavy knock to the head.
Tigers gun Patrick Knott also hurt his knee within the first ten minutes of the game.
Ashley Clugston, Christopher Meyer, Elliott Bath, Samuel Cranna, Heath Clugston and Ben Marra were Storm’s best. Daniel Baker, Darcy O'Connor, Matthew Ward, Jake Gaulke, Brodie Mines and Todd O'Connor were best for the Tigers.
