“We’re sort of going to treat it as a chance, but no doubt the Swifts will be doing the same thing,” he said.
“We haven’t changed anything as far as preparation goes but we’re aware we’re going to have to be ready for what they’ll bring.”
The side will be missing Zac Taylor for the next two games after he was reported in the round nine game against Harrow-Balmoral for using abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene language towards or in relation to an umpire.
“It’s never good when someone is missing from your side regardless,” Finnigan said.
“We’ll have to continue to do the best we can, but certainly we’ll be giving it everything we’ve got.”
Ross Tickner is unavailable to play for the Panthers on Saturday.
Daniel Garner could also be missing from the side after a hamstring injury in round nine.
“The Swifts are a pretty similar side I would say so at the end of the day it’s going to be whichever team sustains the pressure and effort for the full four quarters,” Finnigan said.
