WOMEN’S Health Grampians is continuing work to help other organisations access information about domestic violence prevention.
The group runs the Grampians Community of Practice for the Prevention of Violence Against Women, designed to help people access resources, exchange skills and develop working relationships to address the problem in the region.
The organisation hosts quarterly sessions across the Grampians region, including a session in Horsham last week.
The meeting focused on a national framework for violence prevention, called Change the Story.
Previous meeting topics have included domestic violence data availability, and funding opportunities for prevention work.
Organisers said people could visit whg.org.au for more information, or call 5322 4100 to register interest in joining the community of practice.
The group’s next meeting will be in September.
Women’s Health Grampians last month launched its regional strategy for preventing violence against women.
Wimmera councils and support organisations were among the groups that contributed to the project.
