Bowen was in scintillating form, firing 46 points to take away the spoils and finished nine clear of his nearest rival Ian Mitchell on 37.
Youngster Ryan Nellthorp was winner of the chook run with 20 points, with second going to Phil Willcock on a countback from Jim Kinane with 18 points.
Nearest pins went to Phil Willcock on the Stawell Hydraulics third hole while Leighton Dunn took out the Jeff O'Donnell Electrics sixth and Ken Reid claimed the Money Pin ninth.
Des Pickford won on the HiWay 8 Motel 13th and Ian Mitchell clinched both the Stawell Toyota 17th and Stawell Baptist Church 18th holes.
Tomorrow's event is the Commonwealth Bank monthly medal, with a 12.30pm shotgun start.
On Sunday, October 21 there will be a reverse ambrose run by the Rotary Club to raise money for students going to Cambodia.
