Pimpinio has some hard work ahead and sits eighth on the ladder, eight points behind Harrow-Balmoral, with the Roos currently sitting sixth.
The two sides are both looking to bounce back after round six losses.
The Southern Roos were defeated by Kalkee by a solitary point while Pimpinio was comprehensively outclassed by Laharum 129-28.
Southern Roos coach Paul Cleaver said his side was still feeling disappointed by the loss.
“We played great patches of footy, but we just dropped off a bit,” he said.
“We now need to focus on playing our best footy for longer and see where that takes us.”
Cleaver wants his side to focus on consistency in coming weeks.
“I think this week will be a tough game. Pimpinio is a strong physical side,” he said.
Tigers coach Matt Everett said his side was feeling good despite patchy performances in recent weeks.
“I think we’ll be up against it but we’ve just got to concentrate on what we can do,” he said.
“We need to work hard to defend and win clean possession.
“Hopefully we can come out and play four consistent quarters.”
The Tigers have lost Shannon Baker to a back injury and Kieran Fraser to a dislocated shoulder this week.
Brayden Helyar is expected to return on Saturday.
Cleaver said his team would be wary of Josh Beddison who has been known to provide the Tigers with strong goal-kicking power.
Cleaver also expects his side’s forward-line to generate enough goals in order to compete with the likes of Beddison.
Michael Phelan and Hugh Douglas are two Southern Roos forward powerhouses to watch on Saturday.
Cleaver said he was confident in the strength of the side’s backline.
“Timothy Crick and Aaron McDonald are two to hold strong and hold them out,” he said.
The Southern Roos are looking good on the injury front, welcoming Hamish Ellis back into the side.
“We’ve used the week off to physically and mentally recharge. We are feeling refreshed,” Cleaver said.
Everett has had some youngsters including Liam Jakobi, Todd O’Connor and Kyle Dumesny in extra weekly sessions.
“Their intensity is higher and they are moving better now,” he said.
“Hopefully this week they’ll take another step forward.”
Everett also expects Darcy O’Connor to perform well in the midfield.
“We really need our midfield to have have big games week in and week out,” he said.
