Seven couples will make their debut on Friday with another seven couples to follow on the Saturday.
The deb will be the 30th run by Stawell Secondary College and will embrace an Ancient Greece theme.
The year 11 students have been practicing their dance steps for the past seven weeks under the tutelage of Neil and Sheila Thornton.
Deb ball committee member Belinda Reading said the evening was a chance to celebrate the students’ introduction to society.
“We’ve split it into two groups but on both nights the students come along to support their mates,” she said.
“Neil and Sheila have once again come aboard as dance instructors. Neil’s just turned 80, but he says it keeps him young.
“They’ve been the instructors for the past nine years and do an incredible job.”
Tickets for the deb ball are available at the door or by contacting Sue on 0419 530 972. Doors open at 7.30pm.
