The former Horsham Saints stalwart was on song against a woeful Rams defence, which has now conceded 622 points from the opening four rounds.
“He had a day out, he was on fire,” Lakers coach Daryl Eastwell said.
“We’ve been working towards bringing key forwards like Gavin into the game, which we managed to do well after half time.”
Both sides wore black armbands and observed a minute’s silence before the opening bounce in memory of Renae Kerr, a staunch member of the Lakers football community.
Renae’s brother Heath Kelm was a standout performer, while cousin Gavin was the star of the show for Taylors Lake.
Eastwell said the comprehensive victory was a fitting tribute on a melancholy day.
“It was a very sad day, but the boys came through,” he said.
“It was a fitting tribute to the family.”
