Stawell Toyota currently sit on the bottom of the premiership ladder and the task this week doesn’t get any easier as it fronts up against second placed David O Jones Mitre 10.
The good news though for Stawell Toyota is that it seems to match up well against this week’s opponents. In their previous two encounters, the margin has only been four games, once in Toyota’s favour and the other in Mitre 10’s favour.
The ladies sets will be hotly contested with Toyota’s Deb Hart, Anna Sullivan and Laura Nicholson looking to give their team the ascendancy over Mitre 10’s Jade Cross, Claire Monaghan and Tess Bailey.
Win, lose or draw, every set won will be vital to Stawell Toyota’s chances of sneaking back into the final four.
The night’s second match has third versus fourth, Frewstal versus Crowe Horwath. Frewstal went down to Mitre 10 last week by 11 games while Crowe Horwath had the extra-long Christmas break with last week’s bye.
These two teams have also met two times previously with both sides having a win each so this match will go to whichever side is playing their best tennis on the night.
Current top of the table Farrer’s Tyrepower are this week’s bye team.
