Navarre A grade netballers suffered an upset with their grand final hopes dashed by Lexton at the weekend.
Navarre headed into the game knowing they had a tough road ahead of them and Lexton were just too good on the day.
They were effective with their pressure, forcing Navarre to make small errors across the court.
Navarre started the game slowly, with little going their way.
This forced the girls to play catch up netball for the rest of the game. The second quarter showed a glimmer of hope with Navarre outscoring Lexton by two goals, but Lexton hit back with fortitude running out premiership winners 45-27.
Despite their disappointing loss, the girls held their heads high and played the game out to the very end, which is a credit to them all.
