The display won Kay first prize at the Stawell Show and as a result, qualified to compete in the Wimmera Agricultural Shows Association and Victorian Agricultural Shows judging at Kaniva. All winners from Victorian Agricultural Society Shows had the honour of displaying their items for judging.
Kay’s display was successful in taking out first prize at Kaniva in the floral art section. other winners from the Stawell Show to compete successfully at Kaniva were Betty Gregson, first in the crochet article section, Gavan Krauth, first in the open photography section, Elle McCutcheon highly commended for her loaf of white bread and June Radford highly commended for her hand-knitted jumper or cardigan.
