Sitting second on the Ararat and District Tennis Association table, Buangor handed Landsborough another hefty loss in their round seven clash.
Despite the best efforts of Karl Scott, Chad McSparron (who partnered Scott to a slender 9-8 loss in the men’s section) and fill-in player Holly Horwitz, the visitors had no answers to the Buangor outfit led by Josh Matthews, Ben Hartwich and Kim Hartwich.
Ararat continues to notch up the wins after brushing off a determined Crowlands outfit on Saturday.
Ararat’s Claire Harricks and Genevieve Bush were narrow 9-8 victors in the ladies. It was a hard fought contest in the mixed division between John Murphy/Jo Price and Ed Bush/Claire Harricks, with the former getting across the line for Crowlands.
