Shania has put together the following piece, which outlines her wishes for equality, regardless of whether a person is born with disabilities or other minor problems.
Some children are born with severe disabilities; others are born with minor problems.
These children need to attend a Special School. That doesn't mean they are dumb or cannot learn anything, they just need a different kind of learning.
Some of them can be quite smart in certain subjects; just as smart as normal children. By the way, could someone tell me what is "normal"? The other children tease and bully special needs children and think it's funny. But the truth is it's not okay!
We have feelings too! So think twice next time you feel like bullying anyone and just maybe you will see us as real people that are just like you.
