The hard running Demons attacked at every opportunity and had they not been wasteful in front of goal, could easily have won by more than the final 246 point margin.
It was a day Great Western would want to forget, travelling to Lismore only to manage four behinds for the entire game, while the Demons went on a goalkicking spree.
After being under pressure for the first 10 minutes of the opening term, Lismore Derrinallum opened up the floodgates and finished with seven goals, before going it at half time with 21.10 on the board and a lead of 134 points.
The Lions could not match up the likes of full forward Wayne Loader, who kicked 12 goals for the match, Ryan Elliott and the hard running Michael Lockyer, who gathered possessions at will.
On a positive note for Great Western, Rayne Salmon rucked well all day and presented himself in the defensive half, while other good players were Robert Garley, Nathan Ross, Ben Newson, Tom McCord and Luke Notting.
