Warriors are hoping to play in front of a big home crowd as they push to cement their spot in the finals race.
Stawell coach Brad Thomas is hopeful of taking the points, but knows his team cannot get ahead of themselves.
“The good teams put the poorer sides away,” Thomas said.
“We haven't really done that yet this season, but if we can we will take a lot of confidence out of the match.”
A positive sign for the Warriors is that three reserves players are knocking on the door of senior selection despite the senior line up being unchanged for the past three games.
Nathan Sabbo, Koby Stewart and Jack Walker have all played senior games throughout the season and after strong form in the reserves they’re again in contention.
The club has had issues with their depth in the past, but with a full list available, Thomas may be presented with a selection headache come finals time.
“The pressure is really on for everyone to perform and hold their spot,” Thomas said.
“That is the perfect spot to be in one game out from finals.”
Warriors know what they need to improve on to compete with the best teams which is why they spent a large portion of training this week fine tuning their skills.
Thomas hopes his team will be disciplined when they take on Nhill, as he believes that was an area they fell down in when they defeated Warracknabeal.
“We just want to show effort and intensity and do what we do best,” Thomas said.
“It has been a common theme all year for us and we need to continue with it. We want to be a team that is known for how ruthless we are.”
Stawell Warriors will play from 2.20pm at Central Park and hope the town will show plenty of support as they chase their finals dream.
