Bretherton shot 32 points in the top team’s 44-21 victory.
Both matches were close in the under 12 boys division, with Dragons winning 25-22 over Bad Juju and Westside defeating Gold Reef 22-19.
In the under 12 girls, winners were Comfort Plus 32-5 over Pykes and Bad Juju 46-20 over Skinners.
Jack Rabbits held on in a thriller to defeat Bad Juju by a single point in the under 16 girls competition, with Maggie Clough’s 17 points making all the difference, while Sweeney Todd won 28-10 over Comfort Plus.
Jack Rabbits and Gold Reef played out a close match in the under 18 boys division, with just two points separating them. With Paul Summers shooting 21 points, Jack Rabbits won out 33-31. Aiden Graveson top scored for Gold Reef with 12 points.
In the other under 18 boys match, Armstrong proved too strong for Ted Holden Tornadoes, winning out 27 points to 22.
