Ararat Detective Marcia Parry said police believed two people smashed the front door of Latus Jewellers about 1.20am Tuesday. She said they entered the premises and took a number of gold bracelets and earrings.
Det Parry said the thieves were in and out of the business within minutes. She urged anyone with information to call her at the Ararat Police Station on 5355 1500.
