Minyip-Murtoa lost to the Eagles by 11 in round six.

Stawell's coach Toni Stewart said there were plenty of positives from her side's showing.

"It does give us confidence. I was really happy with how my girls played," she said.

The Warriors are currently outside the top-five, but only Ararat's slightly superior percentage has edged them out.

"We have to win every game to be able to make finals, but we're looking forward to the playing Warrack again," Stewart said.

"If we can play like we did on Saturday then we go into our next few games really confident."

Liza Cook was a questionable starter at the weekend, but took her place and showed no ill effects from flu symptoms, netting 38 goals.

Jemma Clarkson was influential through the mid-court, while under-17 player Kirby Griffiths impressed in wing-attack.

For the Eagles, Summer Schultz's 35 goals earned her a special mention, while club veteran Sarah Spicer was great in the centre.
