Lynette and Laurie Healy were married at the Presbyterian Church in Punt Road, Melbourne on April 17, 1955.
They later moved to Stawell and have remained in the township since.
Together, they have raised three sons and now have four grandchildren.
Two other couples also celebrated their golden wedding anniversaries.
Ken and Helene Greenberger were married on March 12, 1955 at the St Matthews Church in Stawell.
The couple has three children, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Max and Betty Howden were married on March 12, 1955 at Mont Albert, Melbourne. They have four children and a large extended family.
Northern Grampians Shire Mayor, Cr Murray Emerson, attended at the homes of all three couples to congratulate them on their Golden wedding anniversaries.
During his visit, Cr Emerson presented each couple with a bouquet of flowers on behalf of all shire residents.
