Captain Christine Agnew welcome 74 ladies representing the churches of Stawell at the afternoon.
Ms Slorach and the students gave a powerpoint presentation about the school's planned trip to Cambodia in January, 2013.
The presentation detailed the four teachers and a group of students' plans to dig a well and provide clean water for a rural village.
The trip will also see the group visit orphanages to distribute 200 shoe boxes filled with gifts for children, which the students and members of the community have helped to prepare.
The informative discussion was followed by afternoon tea.
The Stawell Secondary College students were congratulated by the large crowd for their initiative and the church representatives presented $460 they had raised to assist with the trip's expenses.
