The 28 year-old from Stawell was selected for the project Moving Mountains which aims to better educate rural young people on mental health through in-school workshops developed and delivered by young people.
FYA's national campaign, Innovation Nation: 1000 ideas for a better Australia reached more than 300,000 young people across the country, generating more than 800 digital entries, as well as thousands more ideas which were brainstormed, work-shopped and developed at a series of community-driven events.
The best 100 ideas were shortlisted for consideration by the judging panels of FYA's Innovation Nation partners culminating in the top 52 young innovators being selected for the program.
Amy's project is part of the medical, health and wellbeing stream supported by The Shine On Foundation.
This inspiring group of young Australians will now take part in an intensive four month learning and mentoring journey through FYA's YSP, which will help them to turn their aspirations for a better Australia into reality.
FYA CEO, Jan Owen AM said the program is all about unlocking the potential of young people to drive Australia's future.
"Young Australians live and work in a rapidly changing world," Ms Owen said.
"Through our Young Social Pioneers program we are investing in young people to develop the skills and innovative thinking needed to create a world they want to live in, to ensure they are equipped to drive our economy forward and build the jobs and opportunities of the future.
