It was a see-sawing contest, with Stawell gaining control in the final quarter to come away with a 33-29 victory.
Defenders led from the front, with Erin Freeland reading the play exceptionally to take many vital intercepts.
Horsham's midcourt was dominant in the opening half, but Warriors remained patient and their shots eventually started to drop.
Kirsty Coote provided plenty of drive and was named among Warriors best alongside Freeland.
Stawell now face Horsham Demons in tomorrow's second semi final.
C grade Warriors were unlucky to go down to Horsham Saints 33-27.
Accurate shooting by the Saints in the second half proved to be the difference, despite some great defence from Meg Newton.

Warriors must now play Warrack Eagles in a semi final on Sunday.
In the under 17s Stawell was forced to work hard for their elimination final victory.
Warriors took a while to work their way into the match allowing the Tigers to take an early lead.
Stawell began fighting back with Lisa Fleming (goal keeper) and Ellen Williams (goal defence) combining well. Courtney Morrow also put on a show in centre to contribute to the comeback and eventual 42-31 win.

Warriors under 15A's season ended with a four goal (30-26) loss to Horsham.
Horsham applied strong pressure which caused Stawell to make several errors at crucial stages.
Georgia McDermott was a shining light in defence and took many timely intercepts, while Kirby Griffiths tried hard with some creative passes.
Warriors under 13 netballers kept their finals hopes alive with a four goal win against Ararat on Sunday.
It was a brave performance by Stawell, who defeated their arch rivals 22-18.
Abbi Nellthorp was named best on court, while Daisy Walker was again a solid contributor.
Warriors take on Horsham Saints in Sunday's first semi final.
A grade Warriors have enjoyed a week off ahead of their second semi final clash with Horsham Demons.
Both teams have won one game each against each other in 2012 and coach Jemma Clarkson said tomorrow's showdown will be 'a closely contested game.'
"Horsham showed on the weekend against Ararat that they're back to full strength. They had a couple out last time we played them so it'll be a really tough game," she said.
"I think we can do it and come away with the win."
