Navarre Grasshoppers made it five wins from five games on Saturday as they took on Avoca in the Maryborough Castlemaine and District Football League.
Against a young Avoca team, Navarre was able to dominate all positions across the ground as they ran out winners by 119 points.
Cody Driscoll was the best of the forward brigade kicking five goals, while defender Bryce Ticker embraced his move into the forward line kicking four goals.
Tickner made the move forward once Ash Driscoll became unavailable following an ankle injury he sustained at training on Thursday night.
Coaching panel member Wayne Driscoll was pleased with how Navarre was playing.
"We are starting to play some really good football," Driscoll said.
"We are never settled on a complete side so that means they have to keep fighting for their spot. The competition between players means we only get stronger."
With plans to push more junior and reserves players through their senior side in the coming weeks Driscoll is hopeful of having a list of 30-32 players who are capable of playing senior football at the end of the year.
"At the minute it is about exposing the young kids to senior football," Driscoll said.
Lachlan Slorach was the best performer for Navarre and continues to improve each week, while another youngster in Josh Fowkes also played well.
Navarre was too strong for the Avoca team which heavily relied on their pace, but lacked skill under pressure.
"They had some decent players and the showed some good signs," Driscoll said.
"I would say they are in a rebuilding stage, but they still made us work for it."
Navarre had 37 scoring shots to just eight, putting Avoca away by quarter time.
Navarre won 21.16.142 defeated Avoca 3.5.23.
With the Worksafe Country Football Championships taking place, Navarre look like having five players selected.
