STAWELL Warriors did their best in the senior netball when they took on Ararat in the Wimmera Netball League and came away with three victories.

In wet and windy conditions A grade stood strong against Ararat.
Michaela Armer moved well in the offensive ring and combined with the work of Liza Cook, they looked on song.
Armer was awarded best on court while Lisa Fleming was second best for her defensive pressure.
Stawell ran out winners 47-37.
Armer won the Nash and Perry's Footwear award while Fleming took home the Warren Earthworks and Subway.
In B grade an impressive display from playing coaches Michelle Elvery and Jodie Hendy left their team in good stead as they won 56-30.
Hendy was named best on court winning the Rumba and Noodle Bar award and Elvery was the Crowe Horwath and Subway second best.
In C grade a dominant first quarter set the scene for the rest of the game as Stawell produced a 16-0 opening quarter.
Ararat steadied and worked their way to a respectable score, but the match was over by half time.
Emma Dwyer was the best on court winning the Byron Family Award.
Grace Bibby was the other award winner taking home the George and Kids and Subway voucher.
The under 17s had a slow start in wet, slippery conditions and struggled to convert in a tough physical contest.
Half time changes proved important with the second half an improvement, making an impact on the scoreboard.
Stawell kept working hard and attacking strong and we were rewarded, winning the second half by one goal.
Stawell lost 20-37 with Kirby Griffiths the best on court winning the Sportspower award. Darcie Jelly won the Subway award and Mia Jensz won the Cassidy Painting award.
The under 15A team had some very positive ball movement through the mid court this week which was an improvement from last week's game.
Their defensive pressure all over the court also lifted, but they were outplayed by a better side on the day.
Their coach Kristy Matthews was happy with how the girls performed after their first game last week.
Consistent work through the midcourt both attacking and defending awarded Madelyn Barber best on court and great defensive pressure and tireless work in and out of the ring awarded Julia Clugston second best.
Constant pressure in the ring and over the ball awarded Bonnie Mcllvride coaches award in the 12-41 loss.
Stawell worked hard as a team to level the score at half time after a slow start in the under 15B.
Accurate shooting and strong defence gave Stawell the lead at three quarter time and for Stawell to win by five goals was a great team effort.
Jaz Warren was best on court and Phoebe Bretherton was second best while the coaches award went to Madi Jardine.
The first quarter in the under 13s was evenly matched with Stawell down by one goal at the end of the 12 minutes.
Stawell fell away in the second half and were outscored 12 to six.
The rain fell constantly throughout the match, making the court slippery and brought the skill level down.
Stawell tried various combinations but were outplayed on the day going down 24-38.
Tess Marrow was the best on court winning the Grampians Pharmacy award, while Dakota Cosson wasnt far behind with the Subway Voucher. Bridget McGuckian won the Pet Stock coaches award.
