Navarre comes off an extended break as they played their grand final rematch a fortnight ago.
After a tough physical encounter against Carisbrook, Navarre were grateful to have the extra week to recover.
Coaching panel member Louis Hannett said the extra week off has helped with their preparation for this weekend's game.
"The extra week off is a big help," Hannett said.
"We had a couple of pretty sore bodies after round one and with a break they have all recovered. Now we are feeling fresh."
For the past two weeks Navarre has taken it easy during their Tuesday night sessions while their Thursday nights have been steady.
With the majority of their main group in attendance on a Thursday night it gives them the opportunity to work on their game day skills and plan.
"It is pretty hard to do a lot on Tuesday nights because we don't have the numbers," Hannett said.
"Thursdays are our important sessions."
While Navarre is fresh and at close to full strength they will go into the match without Jeremy Harrington who broke his eye socket in the first game.
Navarre will welcome back Kris Brennan after he was unavailable for the round one clash.
Maryborough Rovers were winners in their first round match against Talbot and although it was high scoring the result never blew out.
"It is always tough when we play Maryborough," Hannett said.
"I'm not too sure about changes they have made to their list since last year, but I dare say they will still have a couple of strong players across the ground."
Rovers had 10 individual goal kickers in their previous game which proves they have options up forward and that their midfielders need to be watched.
Navarre will be hoping some of their midfield can kick goals to relieve some pressure on their forwards.
Ash Driscoll was double teamed in the opening round and will be hoping for a little bit of space against a solid Maryborough defence.
Navarre play at Jubilee Oval in Maryborough at 2.35pm.
