Warriors will play their first and only game under lights for the season and as a group, they are looking forward to the big occasion.
Coach Brad Cassidy has pencilled the game in as one of their biggest for the year and he is hoping they can come away with a win.
"We are really looking forward to playing Ararat under lights and on Anzac Day," Cassidy said.
"Games against Ararat are traditionally a rival game and there is a bit of extra significance playing on Anzac Day."
Warriors will go into the match as an underdog, but give themselves a realistic chance to defeat their rivals.
The conditions won't change too much from day to night, but it will be several degrees colder in the middle of Alexandra Oval.
Stawell will welcome into their senior line up Naish McRoberts.
After just one game with the under 17s he has been promoted to the senor line up following training last night.
Kyle Hendy was unable to get through his fitness test last week, but was given the same opportunity last night.
Reserves captain Mitchell Olafsen will also play seniors after Cassidy went looking for a little bit more height.
Warriors had light training numbers on Tuesday night which was disappointing for Cassidy and his leadership team, but after a solid hitout last night, the players are raring to go.
The battle will be won in the midfield and Stawell has put time into the centre clearances and will be looking to improve in that area tomorrow.
"Last weekend we had some trouble winning the ball out of the middle," Cassidy said.
"It has been a massive focus and we want to be better. We need to win that area to give our forwards a chance."
Stawell has also worked on their skills and protection.
Cassidy is expecting the game to be physical and hopes his players can do the hard in and under work well.
Stawell is still hunting its first win of the season and after a good showing last weekend Cassidy thinks it is their time.
"We need to finish off our hard work and get some reward," Cassidy said.
"Training is the platform for winning games so we need to train with that game intensity."
Ararat opened their season with a five point win over Warracknabeal last weekend.
As a result of the match Ararat has been forced to make several changes to their lineup, which may work in Stawell's favour.
"We just have to beat whoever they put on the park," Cassidy said.
"They are missing a few players, but they will still be tough around the ground and tough to beat."
Ararat and Stawell will battle it out for the Perc Bushby Cup which Ararat won on both occasions last season.
