The Victorian Government is currently undertaking a program of activities to involve communities in learning about the significance of the Anzac Centenary. One of these activities is the Recipe for Remembrance initiative, run in conjunction with the Country Women's Association.
The Stawell Branch of the Country Women's Association will be partnering with Waack's Bakery as part of this initiative to use Anzac biscuits to raise awareness about the contribution of Victorians in World War I and raise funds to support veterans from all wars.
Waack's Bakery will generously be donating $2 from the sale of each packet of Anzac biscuits across their three stores for the week either side of Anzac Day to the Country Women's Association.
There will be numerous fact sheets about various aspects of WWI available at Waack's Bakery for perusal while you enjoy your delicious Anzac biscuits.
Members of the Stawell CWA branch will also be at the 11am Anzac Day service with information and Anzac biscuits to share.
