As part of a unit of work on the weather, students created an igloo over the course of several weeks. The igloo was constructed entirely from recycled plastic milk containers.
Made up of about 1515 milk containers, the igloo was about three metres in diameter and about two mitres high.
It was large enough to hold all of the school's 21 students.
Halls Gap Primary School principal Ja-San Trimble said the grade three to six students had been inspired by a skiing trip at Mt Baw Baw.
"The whole school was involved in the project as well as a large number of Halls Gap (and a couple of Stawell) businesses who were assisting us with collecting our milk bottles," she said.
"We made the igloo over the course of several weeks - it took us four rebuilds after some collapses.
"It was a massive project but it was heaps of fun."
