Swifts have added youth to their team with Taryn Wynd and Sarah Anderson, but the team was still a long way off the pace.
The new attacking partnership of Kaitlyn Ralph and Amy Yole was in action for the first time and looked a little rusty in the opening term.

Hannah Bird was best on court for her efforts at goal keeper and Briana Close took home the second award.
C grade reserve celebrated their first win of the season thanks largely to their defensive pressure.
The defensive work of Jane Johnston and Jordyn Russell caused many turn overs for Swifts which led to scoring opportunity.
Swifts won 23-18 and Russell was the best on court.
In the juniors, Swifts under 17s were convincingly defeated, while the under 15s and the under 13s played well to record wins.
Tarnee Orr and Darcy Crawford were the best on court in the 15's victory while Juliette Wheaton and Hannah Blight won the awards in the under 13s.
The Mods were back in action with plenty to prove as they set the tone for the rest of the club.
Mods played a strong game despite having not played together before.
With strong defence and accurate shooting a win was always on the cards.
Swifts will take on Harrow Balmoral tomorrow.
