After a disappointing first round loss to SMW Rovers, the Lions will be looking to bounce back with a win tomorrow.
Coach Andrew Bach has put pressure on his side to deliver this week after a dismal display of ball use last week.
"We still have to go into the match confident," Bach said.
"If we can't be confident of getting a win it defeats the purpose of what we are doing."
Bach highlighted two key areas which the Lions needed to improve on before the bounce of the ball tomorrow.
They were ball use and decision making.
While training up until now has involved plenty of running, Bach isn't too concerned with the fitness level.
"As far as I am concerned the fitness will come," he said.
"I reckon we only have seven players that aren't fit enough to run out a game. If we don't kick it to the opposition we are not chasing them, it is pretty simple."
The seven players Bach made mention of are often absent from training which is something Bach is trying to change.
"Sometimes players have work and other commitments, but if they are there they need to really put in," Bach said.
While a win for the Lions will be important Bach just wants his group to stick to their routine and work hard.
"The boys are still excited about the season and what we can do," Bach said.
"I hope it stays that way, because when that drops off so will their football."
Bach was forced to make several changes to his team with Rayne Salmon out with an injured ankle, Matt Bourke potentially missing with soreness and Leroy O'Brien and Isaac Debono both unavailable.
Shaun North and Nathan Ross have put their hand up for senior selection, but Bach said he would take his time to select his team.
Penshurst got within a couple of goals of Lismore Derrinallum, but that was all they could manage.
Both teams will be looking for their first win of the season when they meet at the Penshurst recreation reserve tomorrow.
