Fashions will once again take centre stage at the Stawell Gift Carnival on Easter Saturday, with the Stawell Athletic Club welcoming a new sponsor on board.

Crocodile Gold, owners of the Stawell Gold Mine, have taken over sponsorship of the day, including both the Ladies Day and fashions on the field.
Organisers are thrilled with the way the Crocodile Gold Ladies Day and fashions on the field are coming along, with an excellent day assured once again at Central Park on Easter Saturday for families.
Ladies day has continued to develop into a popular fixture on the Woolworths Stawell Gift calendar and combines a fashion parade with children's activities and of course, the heats of the Woolworths Stawell Gift.
Ladies fashions will carry a $1000 first prize courtesy of Crocodile Gold, with second place receiving a $200 Arbonne gift voucher and third a $150 Arbonne gift voucher. Arbonne will also be offering touch up make-up from 1pm.
Best hat will receive a $100 voucher from the Gift Hotel, as will the winner of the men's fashions.
Entry to the fashions competition is free, with registrations being taken from 11.30am on Easter Saturday. Entries close at 3pm.
The first 200 ladies through the gate will also receive a free glass of Grampians Estate wine as part of the Crocodile Gold Ladies Day.
Event organiser Joan MacPherson encouraged ladies and men to dress up on Saturday and enter the Crocodile Gold Fashions on the Field competition.
"It really is a lot of fun and there are some great prizes on offer," she said.
"Even if you don't enter fashions, there is plenty to see and do on Crocodile Gold Ladies Day."
Mrs MacPherson encouraged families to get along to Central Park on Saturday and enjoy the spectacle.
"Although it's called 'ladies day' it really is a day out for the whole family," Mrs MacPherson said.
"There is also plenty to keep the children entertained throughout the day."
